Marvel Comics will reveal the origin of the very first Ghost Rider within the pages of Avengers #7, that includes a flashback story to 1,000,000 BC from author Jason Aaron and artist Sara Pichelli.

The prehistoric, woolly mammoth-riding Ghost Rider debuted in 2017’s Marvel Legacy #1 as a member of the 1,000,000 BC Avengers, alongside Odin and new takes on the Black Panther, Iron Fist, Phoenix, Starbrand and Agamotto.

“Followers have been intrigued by the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC and the story they symbolize since Jason first launched them within the Marvel Legacy one-shot final 12 months,” Government Editor Tom Brevoort stated in a press launch. “So this situation represents the primary peeling again of the onion to disclose slightly bit extra about who they’re and what they’re about. And it’s a cool and affecting story all by itself, even when you realize nothing in regards to the Avengers of 1MBC.”

The members of the 1,000,000 BC Avengers might be featured in one-and-done tales illustrated by guest-artists, which is able to assist bridge the hole between story arcs and provide extra background on the superheroes that make up the prehistoric model of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
