  1. This film looks terrific from my perspective! Wouldn't be spectacular to have a couple black film directors be nominated for an Oscar in 2019?! While could Barry Jenkins could be nominated for "If Beale Street Could Talk", Steve McQueen could be nominated for "Widows" at the same tome. Imagine it?! I don't think anything like that has occurred in Academy Award history. I could, however, be wrong. If I am wrong, please correct me.

People are very 50/50 about Moonlight, mainly because the subject matter is still very troubling for many, but it was a film that knew exactly what it wanted to achieve, i.e. the story it had to tell. BJenks can do no wrong in my mind and I want to see this on a double bill with Steve McQueen’s Widows.
